Sometimes they just paint themselves.

It all begins with an idea. Then the work has a mind of its own. Being bossy, telling you where to paint and what to paint. That’s when you know you’re really listening.

Bridges.

Bridges have long been a joyous muse for me, so now I have taken the chance to explore what bridges mean for me.

As they have long served as powerful symbols of connection both physically and metaphorically. I found my bridges to joy.

In the world of abstract expressionism, accidents are welcomed and embraced. The serendipitous moments of dripping, splattering, and layering paint are opportunities for discovery and revelation. The process of creation becomes a dance, an improvisation where instinct and intuition guide the way.

My work is simply an expression of my joy held by the human spirit.
